Listed as one of the top ten restaurants in Shanghai, it is located at the south block of Xintiandi. Serves Szechuan and Cantonese cuisine. The setting is traditional Chinese style.
Starting off dinner was smoked eggs, smokey smell & a dash of black pepper. Could have gone down very well with some toast! We tried the braised fish head (hoong siew yee tau), which was differently done from what we are used to but tasty. Claypot bone marrow soup was a special soup where large bones & meat were boiled several hours. Great tasting with that well-boiled aroma & you're supposed to suck out the soft bone marrow. We passed! The spare ribs in bean paste tasted nutty somewhat like our satay sauce.
