This is a favourite pit stop for trips back to Taiping and today was no exception. My sis Beng Choo mentioned of a special mooncake that had dried oysters in its filling (?). Well, we just have to get some and try. But the all time must-haves at Pun Chun is the wanton noodles with duck drumstick steamed soup (ngap toi meen). Of course, the fried yam dumpling(woo kok) are also just as wonderful with its tasty filling & just right pastry that melts in the mouth.

Yah the fried yam cake is best eaten when it is just taken out of the frying pan. Incidentally, my wife knows the sone of the tauke for Pun Chan...he worked in US as a hairdresser then came back and worked as a tour leader at SA Tours, after some time... he got OLD.. he deicded to head back to Bidor to manage the store.
Hey, when you take the phots of the food there.. is it with your D70S? The waiteresses there must be curious why this fellow is snapping photos of the food before eating it!!!
I paid for the food...so can do whatever I want! Sometimes we use the smaller Nikon 5200. The D70s can be intimidating to the uninitiated...:)
